Job description

Our Client a dynamic and fast-growing seafood distribution company in Singapore committed to sourcing premium-quality chilled and frozen seafood from across the globe. We are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Executive to join our team and oversee the end-to-end procurement process, with a key focus on sourcing from the Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure high-quality chilled, frozen, and live seafood aligned with company quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships across India, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the region.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to ensure cost-effective sourcing and timely fulfillment.
  • Work closely with logistics, quality assurance, and sales teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
  • Monitor market trends, seasonality, and supply conditions to make strategic purchasing decisions.
  • Ensure all seafood procurement complies with Singapore Food Agency (SFA) regulations and import requirements.
  • Track and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while avoiding overstocking or spoilage.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and reports for audit and operational purposes


Requirements

  • We're looking for a dynamic professional with 4-8 years of hands-on procurement experience in the vibrant seafood industry, particularly within Singapore or the wider Southeast Asia region
  • Bring your strong vendor connections and expertise in sourcing, especially with networks across India and Southeast Asia, to our team
  • A comprehensive understanding of seafood product categories, quality benchmarks, and specific handling requirements is essential
  • Your exceptional negotiation, communication, and supplier relationship management abilities will be key to success in this role
  • Familiarity with Singapore's food import regulations and the required documentation processes is a must
  • We also require proficiency in procurement software such as SAP or Oracle, along with a solid command of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Candidates must be based in Singapore and possess valid work authorization
  • Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Mandarin, Bahasa, or other regional languages will definitely give you an edge
