A well-established company in Singapore is seeking a procurement specialist to enhance their sourcing strategies and manage procurement processes. The role involves conducting spend analysis, implementing procurement programs, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Candidates need a minimum diploma in a relevant field and at least two years of experience, along with strong skills in contract management and supplier relationship management.

Working day: Monday to Friday
Working hours: 8am to 5.10pm
Job Responsibilities:
Strategic
Perform Spend Analysis to support sourcing strategy and annual plan development.
Perform study of supply market intelligence (market, vendor, product, commodity, etc).
Implement procurement programs and develop knowledge and skill improvement within Sime Darby Industrial Malaysia.
Drive procurement cost reduction initiatives within Sime Darby Industrial Malaysia.
Support the development and drive the implementation of Group Procurement strategies, policies and initiatives at Sime Darby Industrial Malaysia.
Contribute to the development of procurement planning processes.
Lead/Manage the procurement processes at Sime Darby Industrial Malaysia level; tender management.
Drive the alignment of Divisional SOP to GPPA and ensure compliance to GPPA.
Drive and manage capability development and knowledge management for the Sime Darby Industrial Malaysia.
Operation
Ensure new vendors are pre-qualified in accordance to GPPA/Division SOP requirement.
Ensure purchase orders are reviewed and processed in accordance to GPPA/SOP and in a timely manner.
Conduct tenders in accordance to Division SOP/GPPA and make recommendations to Tender Committee.
Understanding and influencing sourcing project / business requirements. Identify opportunities that focus on cost reductions, efficiencies/quality improvements, risk mitigation, industry and supply trends and shifts in technology.
Supplier Classification, Relationship Management and contract management.
Proactively work with Stakeholders and assist in or directly manage spend.
Know, understand and stay abreast of industry trends, benchmarks, best practices, etc.
Monitor Strategic/key Suppliers to provide internal notifications and develop risk mitigation scenarios.
Analyze past and future demand volumes, inventory trends and current inventory levels.
Drive best practices and reductions in Total Cost of Ownership (i.e. supply programs, catalogs) at a regional/local level.
Job Requirements:
Possess minimum Diploma in Supply Chain/ Chemical Engineering/ Business Management/any related field with minimum 2 years relevant working experience
Experience on spend analysis and contract management is an advantage
