Responsibilities:
Design and implement procurement strategies for food ingredients that align with company objectives, meet quality standards, and comply with regulatory guidelines.
Source, assess, and select dependable suppliers or vendors based on factors such as cost, quality, reliability, and delivery schedules.
Perform market research and trend analysis to stay informed about developments in the food ingredients sector, including pricing and availability, and share relevant insights with the management team.
Lead contract negotiations with suppliers, securing competitive prices, favorable payment terms, and building strong, long-term relationships.
Work closely with cross-functional departments—such as R&D, production, quality assurance, and finance—to understand ingredient needs and ensure seamless procurement operations.
Oversee supplier relationships by conducting performance evaluations regularly and resolving any conflicts or issues that may occur.
Track supplier performance metrics, including punctual deliveries, product quality, and compliance with agreed contract terms.
Continuously assess and refine procurement procedures to boost efficiency, lower expenses, and improve supply chain effectiveness.
Ensure all procurement practices adhere to applicable laws, internal policies, and food safety standards.
Compile and present procurement reports, key performance indicators, and cost analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
Proven procurement experience within the F&B industry, preferably in food ingredients/ food packaging.
Strong knowledge of food ingredient specifications, market trends, and sourcing strategies.
Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
Proficiency in using procurement software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality control practices is an advantage.
