Job description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Executive to join our team in the furniture industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of furniture products and related components. You will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Procurement Planning: Collaborate with internal teams to forecast requirements and ensure optimal stock levels of finished goods and furniture components.
  • Purchase Orders: Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of products in alignment with company needs.
  • Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers, and identify potential new suppliers to meet business demands.
  • Cost Optimization: Monitor procurement costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenses while maintaining product quality.
  • Inventory Management: Work closely with the inventory team to track stock levels and manage reorder points for furniture products.
  • ERP and MYOB Systems: Utilize ERP and MYOB software to track purchases, manage supplier data, and update inventory records.
  • Communication & Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management regarding procurement activities, stock levels, and any supply chain disruptions.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the furniture industry or a related field.
  • Education: At least a Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of ERP & MYOB: Familiarity with ERP systems and MYOB is an added advantage.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address procurement challenges efficiently.
