Job description

The Plattering Co. Pte Ltd, known for its beautiful grazing tables and creative catering buffet setup displays, sharing platters, bowls and bentos and unique catering setups. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a meticulous and proactive Procurement Executive to join our team and ensure the smooth sourcing and supply of quality ingredients, equipment, and services to support our culinary operations.

Job Summary:

Procurement Operations:

  • Source and purchase food ingredients, kitchen supplies, and other operational materials based on event and kitchen requirements.

  • Liaise with chefs and operations teams to understand daily and event-specific procurement needs.

  • Issue purchase orders and monitor delivery timelines to ensure timely stock availability.

Supplier Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.

  • Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.

  • Maintain a preferred vendor list and conduct regular market surveys for competitive pricing.

Inventory Coordination:

  • Coordinate closely with the store team for stock levels, reorder points, and excess inventory management.

  • Work with the kitchen to minimize wastage and support proper stock rotation practices (FIFO/LIFO).

Compliance & Documentation:

  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with food safety, hygiene, and company policies.

  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, and supplier agreements.

  • Support audits by preparing necessary procurement documentation.

Cost Control & Reporting:

  • Monitor procurement expenses and support budget control efforts.

  • Assist in preparing regular procurement reports for management review.

Requirements:
  • Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • At least 2 years of procurement experience, preferably in F&B, catering, or hospitality.

  • Good understanding of food and kitchen supply chains.

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software (e.g., ERP systems).

  • Preferred knowledge of Halal/non-Halal sourcing considerations.

  • Preferred understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
