Job description

What a Procurement Engineer does at HP:

  • Designs engineering solutions, utilizing multiple engineering disciplines for products, systems, software, and solutions based on established engineering principles and development technology guidelines, while ensuring cost effectiveness and quality.
  • Ensures optimization of concepts and designs with analytical and physical assessments, to increase efficiency and improve quality.
  • Develops and implements parameters and test plans for new and existing designs; track and verify actions for validation of mechanical, electrical, software, and other engineering specifications and requirements.
  • Performs technical risk assessments of engineering solutions developed and ensures appropriate risk mitigation efforts are undertaken.
  • Solves difficult and complex problems with a fresh perspective, demonstrating good judgment in selecting creative solutions.
  • Develops recommendations on changes and design enhancements to improve reliability, security, processes, and performance.
  • Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
  • Represents Scan and Optic team for all phases of development projects.
  • Delivers professionally written reports, and supports the realization of other operational and strategic plans.

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Electronic Electrical Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • 0-1 years of working experience. Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.
  • Knowledge & Skills: Design For Manufacturing, Statistical Process Control, Root Cause Analysis, Scanning, Imaging, Optic technologies, Data Analytics tool such as Power BI, Power Point and Excel
