About the role

As a Procurement and Shipping Executive at Ten-League Group, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement and logistics functions for our organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage end-to-end procurement, including sourcing, tenders, and vendor negotiations.
  • Negotiating favourable contract terms and pricing with suppliers to ensure the best value for the business.
  • Placing purchase orders and tracking deliveries to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Conduct spending analysis and drive cost-saving initiatives.
  • Handle contract and vendor relationship management, including supplier risk monitoring.
  • Monitor and co-ordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and shipping lines on deliveries of cargoes.
  • Handling of Import and Export LC documentation.
  • LC preparation and negotiation.
  • Monitor and track shipments, providing updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and process shipping documents, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing list and certificates of origin etc.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize shipping processes, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to streamline procurement and shipping workflows.
  • Investigate and resolve any shipping-related issues or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including shipping manifests, delivery records, and inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations, laws, and company policies.
  • Implement procurement best practices to optimize cost and efficiency.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a procurement or logistics role, preferably within the construction machinery industry.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise effectively with suppliers, internal, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently and as part of a team.
  • Hands-on experience in L/C.
  • Knowledge of customs regulations, import/export processes, and international shipping procedures (preferred).
  • Proficient in using procurement and inventory management software.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
