Procurement Analyst

SALT is hiring a Procurement Analyst for a leading technology client on a yearly renewable contract assignment. As part of the Costing Team in Singapore, the candidate is responsible for the management of vendors and helps Data Center Ops management in delivering business continuity strategy by engaging dual vendor strategy.

Responsibilities:

1. Arrange and attend site surveys
2. Get quotes from vendors and perform quotes comparison
3. Manage clarification/negotiation process with vendors
4. Provide accurate quotes to the sales team
5. Costing Evaluation
6. Review existing vendors and update on pricing and services
7. Improve delivery lead-time
8. Enhancement of Rate Book and aim to reduce sales drag

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. Proficient in Spreadsheet, Word Processing, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, etc.
2. Able to work independently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
3. Able to write minutes in an I.T. Operation environment.
4. Good communications and interpersonal skills.
5. Good time management and reporting skills.
6. Able to plan, execute and manage high volumes of work.
7. Highly organized, with attention to detail and a dedication to resolving issues.

Qualification:

1. Diploma to a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical subject
2. Preferred IT or Telecom or Datacentre background
3. At least 2 years working experience
