About the role

As a Procurement Specialist at YEW SENG HENG ENGINEERING PTE LTD', you will play a crucial role in managing the company's supply chain operations. This full-time position is based in the East Region, where you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods to support the company's manufacturing and logistics activities.

What you'll be doing

Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers to meet the company's procurement needs

Negotiating contracts and agreements to secure the best possible terms and pricing

Placing orders, managing deliveries, and resolving any issues that may arise

Maintaining accurate records of all procurement activities and expenditures

Collaborating with internal departments to understand and anticipate future procurement requirements

Implementing procurement strategies to optimise costs, minimise risks, and enhance supply chain efficiency

Continuously researching market trends and identifying opportunities for process improvements

What we're looking for

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a procurement or supply chain management role, preferably within the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industry

Strong negotiation and contract management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Proficient in data analysis and using procurement software or ERP systems
