Department Operations Level: Experienced (Individual Contributor) Location: Singapore

The Operations teams at Shopee cover the end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the platform to when the buyer receives the products. The team analyzes and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when performance fluctuates. The Operations team includes Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations, and Fraud.

Role Overview

Join our team as a Process & WMS Improvement Specialist to lead the optimization of processes and Warehouse Management System (WMS) for one of the fastest-growing e-commerce warehouses in the region. In this role, you will spearhead process improvement initiatives, analyze and implement WMS enhancements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to boost productivity, reduce costs, and minimize errors. If you are an experienced professional with a logical mindset, strong analytical skills, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving, this is your chance to make a tangible impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Improvement Initiatives: Brainstorm and operationalize process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and errors. Implement new processes without compromising operational performance. Evaluate to-be processes versus as-is processes using quantitative measures to demonstrate improvements.
  • WMS Improvement: Consolidate feature requests and review proposed designs by Regional/Local Business Product Management (BPM) or other markets to develop usable feature solutions.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Plan and execute UATs, trials, and full-scale implementations. Collaborate with Operations and BPM teams to troubleshoot and refine solutions.
  • Training & Development: Lead knowledge transfer by creating training guides for new processes and improving existing training methods.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in process improvement, operations, or a related field.
  • Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Lean methodologies, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen/Continuous Improvement, or Facilitation is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse setting.
