Responsibilities:

• Continuous process technological optimization, development and planning of processes and plants in close collaboration with R&D and production.
• Execution of smaller investment & optimization projects in Evonik's existing production plants in Asia Pacific South.
• Contribution in the optimization of existing production processes as part of continuous process development.
• Leading of process development projects with interdisciplinary teams.
• Development of innovative process technological concepts and methods for the production of specialty chemicals.
• Responsibility for the planning, coordination and execution of experiments in the laboratory, pilot plant or production environment.
• Close cooperation with operational divisions, internal and external R&D organizations as well as equipment and plant manufacturers.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor or above degree in the field of process technology, chemical engineering or similar natural sciences.
• Ideally over 5 years of experience in the petrochemical/specialty chemical industries. Working experience on Jurong Island is a plus.
• Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken (German is a plus).
• Committed and loyal team member, which represents high self-motivation, flexibility and creativity.
• Interest in being part of a global expert group.
• Willingness for international business travel.
