Job summary

A leading chemicals company in Singapore is seeking a qualified individual to lead Process Safety initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemical Engineering, at least 3 years experience in a petrochemical plant, and a strong command of communication skills. Responsibilities include developing key PSM metrics and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This role demands strong leadership and the ability to work with diverse teams.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of working experience in a petrochemical plant or oil refinery.
  • Experience dealing with authority on safety cases.
  • Highly motivated and able to manage multiple tasks with limited supervision.

Job description

The Job:-

  • Lead, formulates and implements plan, strategies, and programs to achieve Process Safety Excellence
  • Develop and support reporting of key PSM metrics, governance, compliance and work process improvements
  • Lead Safety Case Team in completing IP, RP and Safety Case Report in complying with Workplace Safety and Health (Major Hazard Installations) Regulations.
  • Keeps abreast of developments in the disciplines of Process Safety and Safety Case
  • Drive Process Safety performance and strengthen COO/OD
  • Function as subject matter expert for PSM global OE procedures and work practices

QUALIFICATION/ EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • At least 3 years’ working experience in a petrochemical plant or oil refinery
  • Experience in dealing with authority on safety case
  • Highly motivated andbe a self-starter, able to organize and manage multiple tasks concurrently as well as work with limited supervision
  • Ability to work with diverse group of people ranging from operations staff to technical staff to management team
  • Proficiency in the utilization of Microsoft Office computer applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, andVisio)
  • Good written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills
