Job description

Principal Consultant, Engineering & Manufacturing

We are seeking a Process Integration Engineer to support the development, optimization, and integration of semiconductor manufacturing processes for silicon photonics products. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to drive process improvements, ensure manufacturability, and support new product introduction (NPI) from development through production.

Key Responsibilities
Process Integration
  • Develop, optimize, and integrate semiconductor fabrication processes for silicon photonics devices.
  • Monitor process performance, identify process variations, and implement corrective actions to improve yield and device performance.
  • Define process flows and establish process control methodologies across multiple fabrication modules.
Yield Improvement
  • Analyze electrical, optical, and inline process data to identify yield loss mechanisms.
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing yield and reliability.
Failure Analysis
  • Collaborate with process, device, and product engineers to perform defect analysis and troubleshoot process-related issues.
  • Support wafer disposition and corrective action implementation.
New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Support technology transfer from R&D into pilot and high-volume manufacturing.
  • Coordinate engineering builds and qualification activities for new products and process changes.
Data Analysis
  • Develop data analysis methodologies using statistical tools to monitor process capability and identify trends.
  • Prepare technical reports and present engineering findings to cross-functional teams.
Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Process, Device, Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Equipment Engineering teams to achieve project milestones.
Ideal Requirements
Educational Background
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Semiconductor Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experienced in semiconductor process integration, process engineering, or manufacturing engineering experience.
