Job summary

ExxonMobil Singapore is hiring a process engineer to provide technical support for operations within our downstream facilities. You will contribute to margin improvements, reliability, and equipment strategy development while working in a collaborative technical team.

The role welcomes candidates with a chemical engineering background and strong skills in process modelling, hydraulic calculations, and safety reviews. On-site Singapore position with opportunities to rotate across units.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field from a recognized university.
• Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Capable of multitasking, managing multiple interfaces and prioritizing work effectively.
• Knowledge of process modelling software and experience in using relevant technical computing tools and design software for hydraulic calculations, TRV relief, and other evaluations.
• Familiarity with the development of HMB, PFD / P&IDs and design specification of process equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work as a member of the technical team to provide process engineering support for operations.
• Provide technical advice / support to daily operational issues.
• Perform unit optimization, troubleshooting, de-bottlenecking studies.
• Lead/participate in safety initiatives including risk assessments and HAZOP reviews.
• Support on-going reliability improvements and equipment strategy development.
• Analyze complex technical issues, identify key drivers, propose strategy / recommendations to support decision-making/resolution of technical issues.
• Responsible for the development/execution of margin improvement ideas/projects.
• Job role can be assigned to start at either the Chemical Plant or Refinery.
