Job summary

SSMC (Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd.) is a joint venture between NXP and TSMC, seeking an Engineer for the Thin Film Process team in Singapore.

You will supervise production activities, support CVD processing, and drive continuous improvement projects across yield, cost, and throughput in a fast-paced fabrication environment. Ideal candidates possess a Master’s or higher in a relevant field and 1–3 years of frontend semiconductor experience, with knowledge of CVD processes

Qualifications

• Master's or higher in Chemical/Materials/Chemistry/Physics or Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• 1–3 years’ frontend semiconductor manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of MOCVD, HDPCVD, PECVD, SACVD, Thermal CVD; electro-plating preferred.
• Familiarity with tools: Applied Materials Producer, Centura, DxZ, HDP, Centura WxZ, Endura, Tel Scrubbers, Novellus Altus & Sequel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate production activities to meet daily and monthly goals.
• Support CVD process engineering activities to achieve targets.
• Sustain line operations, troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis.
• Participate in creating SOPs, BKMs, and process improvements.
• Lead cross‑functional projects on yield, quality, cost, and throughput.

We’re searching for an Engineer to be part of our Thin Film Process diverse team of talent. You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating production activities to meet daily and monthly manufacturing goals.

Responsibilities:

• What you will be working on:
• Support CVD Process engineering related activities to achieve operation targets and meet company objectives
• Sustaining line operations, troubleshooting (Participate/implementing corrective and preventive measures) and root cause analysis
• Round the clock standby for impromptu tool issues and specific decision making
• Production and metrology Tool Ownership and accountability for Cost, Uptime, Wafers scrap, process sustaining issues
• Participate in creation and continuous review of Operating Instructions (OI), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Best-Known Methods (BKMS) to optimize Process and Equipment procedures
• Design, construct ,execute and Participate in cross functional and continuous improvement projects in fields of: Yield, quality, cost, productivity, efficiency, throughput, tool startups , uptime , defects reduction, production line issues and tools defense, work improvement utilizing a wide variety of analytical techniques (run charts, Histograms, Pareto charts, Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical process control charts (SPC)
• Participate/contribute to Process and Product transfers to and from different global networked wafer fabs from Development to engineering and manufacturing
• New process startup, optimization, development and improvement
• Lead develop & execute process engineering projects
• Participate in Transform Platform and develop Lean Six Sigma (LSS), Best Known Methods (BKM), patents and Trade Secrets and drive value creation
• Participate in implementation of TSMC/NXP BKMs and establish SSMC BKMs
• Participate in automation solutions to improve process quality and cost
• Participate in troubleshooting and liaise with cross functional modules with product customers of non-conforming manufactured product to determine root cause technical & yield concerns
• Develop FMEA for Custom & Derivative processes.
• Provide training and support for certification of Engineers and Production Technicians

Requirements:

• Master/Degree in Chemical/ Materials/ Chemistry/ Physics or Electrical, Electronics Engineering and other relevant fields
• 1-3 years’ experience in frontend semiconductor manufacturing environment preferred
• Knowledge in the following processes: MOCVD HDPCVD , PECVD , SACVD , Thermal CVD , Electro-plating is preferred
• Basic knowledge in tools sets from Applied Materials Producer, Centura, DxZ and HDP , Centura WxZ, Endura and Tel Scrubbers, Novellus Altus & Novellus Sequel
