Job summary

VDL ENABLING TECHNOLOGIES GROUP (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking a Process Engineer to establish process steps for in-house-made parts, ensure quality, meet lead times and cost targets, and drive improvements across manufacturing.

You will create routings, BOMs in BaaN, and prepare inspection method sheets, reading 2D drawings and 3D models. Requirements include a degree in Mechanical or Precision Engineering and at least 3 years in precision machining, with strong knowledge of manufacturing

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Precision Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in the precision machining industry.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of reading engineering drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Establish process steps to produce in-house-made parts and meet customer expectations in terms of quality, lead time, cost, and technological needs.
• Create process routing (work instructions) & BOM in BaaN and prepare an IMS/checklist.
• Read and interpret 2D drawings and 3D models and customer specifications.
• Ensure process routing is ready for first article and volume production.
• Perform sustaining engineering, optimize resources, and support production teams.
• Monitor process performance (quality, cost, lead time) and yield using SPC and other tools.
• Oversee First Article progress and resolve technical issues to ensure smooth production flow.
• Drive improvements to process methods to enhance performance and output.
• Lead special projects and processes as a specialist assigned by a superior.
