A leading company in optics manufacturing is seeking a Process Engineer to oversee new processes and improve production efficiencies. The candidate will propose tooling, lead projects to enhance productivity, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. A degree in engineering and relevant experience are essential for success in this role.
Brief Summary:
Under the direction of the Secondary Process Manager, the Process Engineer will be responsible for handling new processes, process improvement initiatives, and consumables in the Fine Cementing department. Her/She will be required to ensure that production targets are met, and compliance, safety and quality standards are maintained.
Job Description:
Propose and implement tooling and fixtures of Cementing and Assembly parts.
Implementation of production processes and procedures, lead productivity improvements project-based activities, including new product introduction and manufacturing cell design to reduce waste, improve quality and safety, and reduce operating costs.
Ensure all products and system requirements are taken into account from the initial product conception to the finished result.
Maintain and control all materials & equipment to ensure they meet the quality standards.
Recommend improvements to work methods and drive teams to achieve the KPIs.
Remove waste from processes and improve production flow.
Ensure manufacturing process operations and its work content for new and existing products meet manufacturing standards.
Handle new products and processes.
Design of Toolings.
Create manufacturing routings in SAP system.
Submit RFQ for new processes.
Create ATP and WI for new processes.
Provide solutions promptly for corrective actions to be taken immediately.
Qualifications Required:
Degree in Chemical / Physics / Automation / Mechanical engineering.
Operational experience in a cementing and assembly or thin film coating production technologies or optics manufacturing environment related field with 2-year experience.
Skills & Abilities Required:
Strong communication and analytical skills, energetic and willingness to work hard.
Good analytical mind with ability to work independently as well as in teams.
Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
Ability to understand manufacturing processes, engineering, scientific and other technical information.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Excellent written and oral presentation skills
