Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to own BAW filter manufacturing processes, from plating through metrology and inspection, ensuring quality and yield.

You will qualify new processing machines, coordinate with cross-functional teams, drive cost optimization, establish standard work, and mentor shift engineers to sustain KPI performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent is required.
• At least 3 years of semiconductor experience with plating exposure.
• Experience with SPC, OCAP and FMEA.
• Independent and positive attitude with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Excellent teamwork and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Own the BAW filter manufacturing process from plating to metrology and inspection.
• Qualify new processing machines for production ramping and plan qualification timelines.
• Collaborate with cross-departments to maintain process performance and yield.
• Lead activities that support cost optimization and productivity improvements.
• Create standard work, FMEA, and PCP for QA audits of process documentation.
• Monitor SPC data daily to assure process quality and performance.
• Establish inline controls and margins for process reliability.
• Organize and lead problem-solving discussions for line issues.
• Guide shift engineers on line disposition decisions and OCAP/protocols.
• Coordinate with automation team to reduce system proofing errors and improve efficiency.
• Work with the team to meet department KPIs and goals.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Process Ownership of the BAW filter manufacturing for Electro-plating, metrology measurement, and inspection modules
• Qualify new processing machine for production ramping, plan and schedule the qualification time frame
• Collaborate and work as a team with various cross-departments to maintain process performance and yield sustaining
• Drive and manage various engineering activities that support cost optimization or yield/productivity improvement projects
• Establish standard work instructions, FMEA, and PCP for QA audit on process documentation
• Daily monitoring and analyzing statistical process control data to ensure process performance and quality of production
• Set up and establish good process margins and inline control for SPC
• Initiate, organize, and lead the short-term problem-solving discussions for continuous improvement or line issues
• Guide the shift engineers for line lot disposition decisions and provide details of OCAP/protocol for the team to follow
• Work with the automation team to identify system proofing errors and streamline the process for better efficiency in terms of processing and data control/analysis
• Manage and drive together with the team to meet department KPI and goals

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum degree in engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution
• 3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry with technical expertise and knowledge in plating
• Experienced in SPC, OCAP, and FMEA
• Independent and positive attitude with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional team and communication skills for project management
