Job summary

Pfizer Tuas Process Centric Team in Singapore seeks a Process Engineer to lead manufacturing campaigns from the start of production through release of material, providing technical supervision with respect to quality and EHS.

The role requires coordinating with internal stakeholders to assess robustness of process transfers, support New Product Introduction (NPI) transfers, and ensure risk is maintained at an acceptable level while improving manufacturing performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering or Science with Major in Chemistry.
• Process Engineering and Technical Knowledge.
• Strong sense of commitment and urgency to get things done and results-driven attitude.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong team player, adaptable and versatile with the ability to work across different cultures.

Responsibilities

• Develop Manufacturing / Operating Instructions and SOPs.
• Develop, maintain and troubleshoot process control system recipe/models.
• Carry out technical assessment for evaluation of processes.
• Investigate, report and troubleshoot quality and EHS issues.
• Develop, implement and monitor robust preventive measures for processing issues.
• Proactively monitor, identify, develop and implement improvements in processes and equipment.
• Communicate process updates to plant personnel.
• Train process technicians and fellow engineers as required.

What You Will Achieve

Process Engineer serves as a member of the Pfizer Tuas Process Centric Team that will be responsible for leading product manufacturing campaigns from the start of production, providing technical supervision with respect to quality and EHS until completion and release of the material.

The core role of this position is responsible to work with various stakeholders to assess the robustness of transferring processes and analytical methods to successful completion of New Product Introduction (NPI) technical transfer project, with associated risk reduced to an acceptable level.

How You Will Achieve It

Process Engineering

• Develop Manufacturing / Operating Instructions and necessary Standard Operating Procedures.
• Develop, maintain and troubleshoot the process control system recipe / models.
• Carry out technical assessment for evaluation of processes
• Investigate, report and troubleshoot findings on both quality and EHS related issues observed during manufacturing or during batch record review.
• Develop, implement and monitor robust preventive measures for processing issues.
• Play a proactive role in ensure the site safety and quality standards are adhered to.
• Proactively monitor, identify, develop and implement improvements in processes and equipment.
• Communicate on a regular basis to the plant personnel on process updates.
• Train the process technicians and fellow process engineers on the process and procedures as required.
