Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in terms of efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and increase overall productivity. Conduct time and motion studies to identify bottlenecks and streamline workflows.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and eliminate waste, reduce cycle times, and improve overall process reliability.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Work closely with quality control teams to ensure that manufacturing processes meet or exceed quality standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality-related issues.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and provide input on the selection of equipment and technology for new processes.
  • Ensure the successful transfer of new processes from development to production
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and address any breakdowns promptly.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process parameters.
  • Generate regular reports on key metrics, process performance, and improvement initiatives.Present findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain, to achieve common goals.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on process optimization and improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles.
  • Excellent technical & interpersonal skills, resourceful and team player.
  • Experience in fully / semi-automated manufacturing environment, familiarity with various manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies. PLC knowledge is a plus.
  • Self motivated, ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem solving & analytical skills, Excellent communication and Technical reporting skills.
  • Proficient in the use of relevant software tools, working knowledge of Solidworks, Auto Cad
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
  • Degreein Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering with 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment.
