Process Engineer

Job Description

1. Support the Customer Requirements in collecting data, doing Analysis and coming up with better processes or updated processes.
2. Work closely with the Department leads in mapping the current process and developing the ‘to be’ Processes.
3. Support Current Biz Solutions team as required.
4. Train & build technical & process capabilities within department while providing technical expert support to other MM sites.
5. Actively support the Customer Requirements and projects.
6. Collect data and perform statistical analysis.
7. Work with various stakeholders to prepare processes, create SOPs, Work Instructions (WI), and get the required approvals. Train Operations team after WI approval.
8. Manage multiple projects of small and medium size.
9. Independently identify process gaps, make recommendations, and implement process improvement.
10. Confer with the Engineering and Operations Managers to implement efficient and competitive solutions.
11. Provide proposal and presentation support for Continuous Improvements and possible new projects.
12. Comprehensive understanding of Warehousing systems.
13. Able to lead small Project Teams.
14. Able to conduct SIT, UAT as per customer requirements. Able to list out test cases and work with IT.

Job Requirements

1. Min Higher Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, IT Engineering, Process Engineering, Supply Chain or related fields.
2. Minimum 2 years of related working experience.
3. General awareness of Manufacturing Systems e.g. CAD, SAP, ERP etc.
4. General Awareness of the Lean Methodology & Principles.
5. Experience with write-ups on work procedure workflow & instructions for production processes.
6. Knowledge of Industrial Engineering Basics - VSM, Process Mapping, Time Studies etc.
7. Must be familiar with Visio.
8. Experience with Data Collection and Statistical Analysis.
9. Good presentation skills and good grasp of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
10. Resourceful, able to independently conduct research & apply new solutions to business requirements.
11. Proven Project management skills.
12. Independent, self-motivated, process-oriented & analytical.
13. Good interpersonal skills, able to work with minimum supervision.
14. Able to interpret simple print specifications.
15. Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
16. On-time delivery and ability to prioritize work based on timelines and deliverables.
