Your role in our team / in creating a sustainable future

  • Continuous development of production processes in mid and long-term to ensure safety, high operational availability, productivity, utilization, efficiency and flexibility.
  • Responsible for the Basis of Design (BOD) and Unit Specific Tolerances (UST) defining the operating limits for the units in the area of responsibility.
  • Conduct test runs, identify bottlenecks, develop solutions and manage capital investments in the early phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Support operations in troubleshooting major process challenges and investigating high risk non-conformances.
  • Improve process safety by facilitating risk assessments, managing actions development and implementation.
  • Site wide competence management and development for the technologies in the area of responsibility.
  • As Singapore refinery representative in the global technology team. Sharing and execution of best practices and common initiatives from Rotterdam and Porvoo refineries. Support process technology evaluation and development.
  • Technical support for the unit turnarounds including e.g shutdown, catalyst change out, investments and start-up.

Keys to success in this role / The best combination to succeed in this role

  • Degree in chemical engineering or relevant field and understanding of chemical processing unit operations and engineering.
  • At least three years of work experience in process engineering and operations in the oil and gas, refining or petrochemical industry.
  • Having Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM)would be an added advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and planning skills
  • High safety standard and strong influencing skills
