Job description

Job Responsibilities:
  • Draft process improvement ideas with objectives to improve process/occupational safety, improve product safety/quality, reduce energy consumption, improve production capacity/productivity, and reduce costs.
  • Implement process improvement ideas via Management of Change system and/or non-regular work system.
  • Coordinate, arrange, and plan new grade trial runs with R&D and Operation teams, and handle the trial run and evaluation.
  • Evaluate process performance and key process parameters from a long-term view and/or periodically to uncover potential risks that may lead to plant instability, safety, or quality issues.
  • Troubleshoot plant troubles related to processes, perform root cause analysis, and propose corrective and preventive measures as a process engineering function and/or based on request.
  • Participate actively in HAZOP, FMEA, and Control plan studies as a process engineering function for safety and quality improvement.
  • Oversee process-related capital expenditure projects from conceptual design up to Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and lead the projects assigned by the Manager of the department.
  • Study and implement Industry 4.0 related technologies as part of productivity improvements and process improvement projects.
  • Participate in the Company EHSQ program and cooperate with its promotion and improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments in management systems such as ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, SS651, IATF16949, Safety Case regime, Energy management system, and ISCC plus as a process engineering function.
  • Perform studies as a process engineering function such as NRW, MOC, and as per request from other departments.
  • Keep and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor/Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • 3 to 5 years of working experience in Petrochemical Industries.
  • Possession of Singapore Certified Energy Manager.
  • Familiarity with Safety Case Regime.
  • Familiarity with IATF 16949 standard.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, and SS651.
  • Familiarity with IEC 61511 standard.
  • Familiarity with Process Simulation software such as Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS.
  • Familiarity with Distributed Control System (DCS), particularly its logic and sequence modification.
  • Able to multi-task and handle a wide spectrum of responsibilities.
  • Good interpersonal skills and strong analytical skills.
