Process Development R&D Engineer I

To be responsible for engineering activities in product improvement/engineering projects; performs engineering analysis, equipment and process set up, carry out risk assessments and validations as well as production implementation for completed projects.

Job Responsibilities

1. Participate in product improvement/engineering projects, and responsible for engineering activities.
2. Perform risk analysis (FMEA) to define process flow and control plan.
3. Perform equipment qualification and process validation for product improvement/engineering projects.
4. Ensure projects are implemented in line with the schedule and budget.
5. Optimize new/improved process parameters to further improve product quality and the overall equipment effectiveness.
6. Explore new processes to improve product quality or productivity.
7. Be responsible for the successful transfer of new/improved process/methodologies into the production with good process margins and inline controls.
8. Involved in hands-on execution of manufacturing operations.
9. Provide operational training for operators or related personnel.
10. Manage administrative duties as well as ad-hoc projects assigned by immediate superior.

Experiences, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. Minimum a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing/Biomedical Engineering related disciplines or equivalent.
2. Good mechanical or material aptitude and knowledge.
3. Good experience of manufacturing process and cGMP manufacturing.
4. Experience of operational management and lean manufacturing.
5. Clean room/environment control experience.
6. 2 years of overall work experience would be added an advantage.
7. Fresh graduate is acceptable.
8. Good communication skills to cooperate with all operational departments in multi countries in Asia.
9. Excellent English-speaking & writing skills.
10. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
11. Ability to write professional reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
