Job description

Position Objectives:

The Process and Development Manager supports the School Directors in implementing the Teacher Development project (“Parcours de Developpement Professionnel des Enseignants”).

Additionally, the role provides operational support to the School Directors in their non-pedagogical responsibilities, freeing up their time to conduct more development discussions with the teachers under their supervision.

Key Responsibilities
1. Implementation of the Teacher Professional Development Pathway
  • Oversee the implementation of Teacher Development project by:
    • Assisting teachers in preparing their development portfolios and identifying the right development opportunities and training programs.
    • Clarifying teachers’ professional development pathways to make them more accessible and actionable.
  • Be available to answer teachers' questions about the development process and support School Directors in organizing development discussions aimed at:
    • Tracking teachers’ development progress.
    • Recognizing and valuing teachers.
    • Supporting and guiding new teachers facing adaptation challenges.
    • Supporting and guiding teachers experiencing difficulties in their roles.
  • As a member of the Internal Training Steering Committee, participate in defining development pathways and creating training materials.
  • Lead a staff support unit, allowing personnel to:
    • Express difficulties, identify sources of stress, and address emerging tensions before they escalate.
    • Ensure timely and appropriate intervention when needed.
2. Project Management
  • Oversee cross-functional projects and initiatives aligned with the school's strategic objectives and institutional development plan (e.g., sustainability, data protection).
  • Develop detailed project plans with timelines and deliverables to ensure successful implementation.
  • Coordinate departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment, accountability, and project success.
  • Identify potential challenges and propose solutions.
  • Oversee change management processes, including training and communication to support staff during transitions.
3. Operational Support for School Leadership
  • Update and streamline non-pedagogical procedures within the school in coordination with administrative services and leadership secretariats.
  • Represent School Directors in non-pedagogical meetings (e.g., data protection, procurement, cafeteria management, sustainability initiatives).
  • Assist with budget management processes, including project sheets, approval workflows, and small purchase validations.
  • Collaborate with HR during the pre-selection of candidates during recruitment campaigns.
Qualifications & Skills
Qualifications:
  • Education: Master’s degree in Teaching, Education, and Training (MEEF), a Master’s in School Organization Management, or an equivalent certification/degree from an international education system (non-French).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a demonstrated background in process improvement, project management, or professional development. Prior experience in a school setting and a strong understanding of an educational system are essential.
