PositionOverview

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Private Tutor to provide educational support and attentive care for three young children. This role combines childcare responsibilities with academic guidance, ensuring the children's developmental, educational, and emotional needs are met in a safe, structured, and engaging environment. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted caregiver, mentor, and liaison between the family and the children's schools.

KeyResponsibilities

Childcare & Supervision

• Provide attentive, nurturing, and age-appropriate care in a safe and supportive environment.
• Support the daily care and well-being of three young children.
• Ensure children adhere to daily routines, schedules, and family guidelines.
• Foster positive behaviour, independence, and confidence through encouragement and positive reinforcement.

Educational Support

• Assist with homework, school assignments, projects, and examination preparation.
• Develop and reinforce effective study habits, organisational skills, and time management.
• Encourage language development, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
• Create an engaging and stimulating learning environment that promotes curiosity and a love of learning.
• Plan and supervise age-appropriate educational and enrichment activities that support the children's academic and personal development.

Transportation & Activity Coordination

• Safely transport children to and from school, tuition classes, extracurricular activities, and appointments as required.
• Coordinate schedules and ensure punctual attendance for all academic and enrichment activities.

School Liaison & Communication

• Act as the primary point of contact between the family and the children's schools when required.
• Coordinate school-related schedules, appointments, and educational support arrangements.
• Maintain regular communication with parents regarding the children's academic progress, development, behaviour, and daily activities.
• Provide updates and feedback to ensure parents remain informed of the children's needs and achievements.

Child-Related Household Responsibilities

• Organise and maintain children's study areas, educational materials, books, toys, and personal belongings.
• Prepare learning resources and materials required for educational activities.
• Ensure children's spaces remain tidy, organised, and conducive to learning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher qualification in Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Child Development, or a related field.
• Prior experience working with children as a teacher in an International School or Singapore MOE school setting is highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate learning methodologies.
• Possesses a warm, patient, and encouraging personality, with a genuine passion for working with children.
• Valid driving licence and confidence in transporting children safely would be advantageous.
