Job summary

INTELLISEARCH HR SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. invites an experienced Early Childhood Educator (Mandarin) to join a nurturing preschool setting in Singapore.

You will design daily/weekly Mandarin literacy- and development-focused activities, tailor routines to the child’s age, and ensure engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences. Qualifications

• At least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (Mandarin).
• Higher Certificate in Infant Care is an added bonus.
• At least 5 years of experience teaching in a preschool setting.
• Work well independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a daily/weekly schedule tailored to the child's age to develop Chinese reading/writing and overall development.
• Source materials and prepare activities before the child arrives.
• Instruct and converse with the child in Chinese.
• Monitor progress and provide weekly feedback to parents.
• Coordinate with tutors/instructors/schools as needed.
• Organize educational activities and enrichment programs.
• Assist with transportation to activities/school and other daily tasks.
• Supervise helpers/nannies and perform infant care duties as needed.
• Maintain neat, organized play areas; rotate toys/books weekly.
• Travel with the family and maintain continuity of education during travel if possible.

Job description

Responsibilities

a. Design and implement a daily/weekly schedule/routine tailored to the child's age and abilities, aimed at developing child's reading/writing of Chinese language and to nurture child's intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development. Examples of activities include reading, writing, signing, sensory play, arts & crafts, guided free play.

b. Source materials needed for planned activities and prepare/set up activities before child arrives.

c. Instruct and converse to the child in Chinese language

d. Instill the love of learning in the child and be willing to learn other pedagogies that is suitable for the child.

e. Monitor child's academic, intellectual, physical, and socio-emotional progress and provide regular(weekly) feedback to parents.

f. Foster good manners, discipline, independence, and social etiquette in line with the family's values.

g. Coordinate with tutors, extracurricular instructors, and schools as needed.

h. Organize educational activities, cultural outings, and age-appropriate enrichment programs.

i. Assist in sending child to extracurricular activities, school, and any other place required in daily schedule.

j. Assist with homework and school projects once the children attend formal schooling.

k. Encourage healthy routines, including reading, exercise, eating and structured free time

l. Supervise helpers/nannies as required and perform infant care duties as needed.

m. Ensure play areas are kept neat, clean, and organized. Examples include sorting storage of toys and books according to age, rotating toys and books on display every week

n. Travel with the family when required and maintain continuity of education during travel if possible.

Requirements

-At least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education(Mandarin). Additionally, having a Higher Certificate in Infant Care is an added bonus.

-At least 5 years of experience teaching in a preschool setting.

-Work well independently.

-Passionate about working with children.
