Job summary

Barclays Singapore invites a VP - Private Banker to lead client coverage for UHNW individuals, family offices and institutional investors across Asia/Europe. You will grow AUM, raise capital, and deliver tailored solutions through collaboration with investment and advisory teams.

Regulatory-strong with MAS oversight; leadership expectations include mentoring teams and maintaining long-term relationships with sophisticated clients.

Qualifications

• Strong experience covering UHNW individuals, family offices, and institutional investors across Asia and/or Europe.
• Proven track record in raising new capital, growing AUM, and maintaining long-term investor relationships.
• Solid knowledge of private markets, alternative investments, multi-asset strategies, and cross-border investment solutions.
• Ability to partner effectively with portfolio management, investment, and advisory teams to deliver tailored client solutions.
• Strong business development, investor relations, and client servicing skills, with relevant regulatory qualifications or willingness to complete required licensing.
• You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in the role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, as well as job-specific technical skills.
• To be successful for the role, candidate should possess the following: CACS 1 & 2 certified.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow client relationships and acquire new clients - identifying and managing solutions to meet a wide range of client needs.
• Establish a sound understanding of the strategy of the clients in their portfolio through regular proactive contact, responding to client / prospect queries and requests and identifying opportunities that will deliver long term commercial reward.
• Manage operational, reputational, financial crime and credit risk for the portfolio to avoid exposing Barclays to undue risk.
• Ensure all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards Service/group relationships.
