About the Team PDPO (Privacy and Data Protection Office) is the organization to lead, supervise, and empower all TikTok's privacy work in an accountable and industry-leading way. This team is the expert in the landscape of privacy risks and passionate about consulting across the company on implementing the proper safeguards and technical mitigations to ensure that our users’ privacy is honored across TikTok's products and platforms.

We are seeking a Privacy Analyst to join our Remediation Operations Team, to be based in Singapore with a focus on standing up and operating a program to drive remediation of outstanding privacy and data protection risks. You will play a critical role in upholding the privacy rights of our users, ensuring the protection of their personal information, ensuring compliance with global privacy laws, and promoting the adoption of best practices. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Risk Remediation: Evaluate risks associated with data protection and privacy in a timely and effective manner. Coordinate stakeholders both within and outside of the team to drive project execution and deadline adherence on complex privacy projects. Maintain organized project plans/timelines and adapt those plans as deliverables change.
  2. Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between executives, technical teams, legal, and other internal stakeholders on privacy matters.
  3. Team & Process Scaling: Support the development of PDPO's Strategic Transformations and Remediations capability, including all aspects of documentation, tooling, and team configuration. Support the iteration of business processes, operations, and technical builds to align with risk obligations and best practices.
  4. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for privacy practices, protocols, and data flows.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years in compliance, auditing, consulting, technical program management, or industry equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in privacy or security compliance with a proven track record of driving programs and initiatives.
  • Detail-oriented, self-driven with the ability to think critically and solve and drive complex privacy challenges.
  • Strong communication and diplomacy skills while interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with core privacy concepts such as data minimization, purpose limitation, data sovereignty, transparency, and data retention.

Experience with privacy by design principles and engineering in a privacy or related program.

  • Knowledge of global privacy regulations and standards, including GDPR, CCPA, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications in privacy and data protection (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, OSCP) are a plus.
  • Strategic problem solver with excellent legal and business judgment including demonstrated experience assessing information for risk mitigation opportunities.
