Overview

The Principal Market Development Manager – LC APAC will lead and be responsible for the success of the APAC LC business, including LC product portfolio management, funnel creation & opportunities tracking, key product initiative management, and new product launches & field enablement for successful market penetration and growth of our LC businesses in APAC. This position will be responsible for:

  • Business development leadership on LC portfolio, digital marketing strategy, sales & channel optimization, and funnel creation/sufficiency tracking in the focused markets and industries in APAC.
  • Key product initiative management and communication of business needs to drive commercial operations, channel optimization, marketing, and business development initiatives.
  • APAC LC product and business development leadership, managing QAQC LC business to meet AOP.
  • Business monitoring and reporting to understand market situations and insights, ensuring business and new product go-to-market success in APAC.

Responsibilities

Development and Implementation of the APAC LC marketing strategy and business development

  • Lead, develop, and maintain the overall APAC LC product, marketing, and channel optimization strategy (including Ecom) and roadmap for APAC.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitive offerings and ensure real-time positioning versus competitors.
  • Participate in all new product launch teams, collaborating with business development managers, sales, and marketing to define core positioning and messaging for market success.
  • Manage the product portfolio, including segmentation, positioning, technical management, pricing, and lifecycle management.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of the APAC QAQC annual marketing strategy, including campaigns, events, digital marketing, e-commerce, and PR.
  • Develop and execute strategic product marketing plans with regular reviews and adjustments to meet financial, market share, and growth goals.
  • Ensure executional excellence across APAC through monitoring results, improving processes, and sharing best practices.
  • Deepen understanding of customer segments, channels, and drivers to inform marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with APAC sales and marketing teams to enable their success.
  • Coordinate with global and local product teams on marketing materials and programs.
  • Maintain an active voice of customer program to inform product marketing decisions.
  • Identify and assess partnership and licensing opportunities in collaboration with field and marketing teams.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a complex global/APAC role, with at least 2 years in senior marketing.
  • At least 5 years in analytical instruments or life sciences business.
  • Minimum 3 years managing teams across regions.
  • Proven success in implementing 'Go To Market' strategies within a matrix environment.
  • Scientific/technical background relevant to pharmaceuticals, food, environment, or materials industries.
  • Ability to influence at executive and peer levels.
  • Experience working within the APAC region.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Proven product management and marketing experience (minimum 5 years).
  • Experience with B2B, digital, online, and e-commerce strategies is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
