Position Description:

AcuTech Consulting Group is growing rapidly and seeking highly qualified and motivated Senior and/or Principal Process Safety Consultants in Singapore to help fuel our growth. Candidates would join a highly respected team of industry leading PSM experts on challenging projects for many of the world’s largest corporations.

Your ability to work cross-functionally means assignments may include all aspects of Process Safety: PSM program development, auditing, process hazards analysis (PHA), and qualitative and quantitative risk assessment, including hazard identification, accidental release scenario development, consequence modeling (dispersion, fire, explosion), frequency analysis (including Event Tree and Fault Tree analysis), presentation of risk results, and report preparation.

What You’ll Do:

As part of AcuTech’s Singapore team, you will work directly with clients on projects spanning all aspects of process safety and risk management in Singapore and Asia. Successful candidates will proactively apply engineering and problem-solving skills to meet challenging safety and business objectives while seeking out leadership and growth opportunities. Candidates must have high technical acumen, be self-motivated, independent, organized, able to work effectively under direction of senior engineers, and handle multiple work assignments and projects.

What’s Required:

  1. 8 to 15+ years’ experience in process safety, process safety management, health, safety and environment (HSE), or related experience in process or engineering design environment, manufacturing operations, and/or consulting environment.
  2. BS/MS in related engineering field (chemical, process safety or relevant discipline) or associated science degree.
  3. Ability to develop consulting business, including developing proposals and making presentations.
  4. Self-motivated, independent, strong leadership and organizational skills.
  5. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and client service.
  6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills with a consultative approach in supporting customer projects.

What’s Preferred:

  1. Ideal candidates will be “Seller Doers” with existing client connections and an ability to generate new business.
  2. Experience in performing process hazard analyses (PHA), specifically HAZOP studies and other risk assessments, or related studies, such as HAZID, What-If, FMEA, fault tree/event tree analysis, fire and explosion modeling, safety integrity level (SIL) assessment, or Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA).
  3. Experienced in facilitation and scribing PHA specifically HAZOP studies for different types of industries and/or processes.
  4. Experienced in (Singapore) Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) and Safety Case.
  5. Experience in developing, writing, and implementing PSM plans, procedures, design philosophies, design bases, engineering specifications, standard operating procedures.
