Job Responsibilities:

Standards and Practices

· Develop Architecture standards, technologies and practices aligned with company’s technology vision and business strategy.

· Monitor trends in technology related to Architecture standards, technologies and practices for potential incorporation to maximize value add.

· Adopt modern development methodologies and frameworks (including Agile) when developing Architecture standards and practices.

· Adopt modern development methodologies and frameworks (including Agile) when developing Engineering standards and practices

· Work with other TO Architects and Leads to define and incorporate practices into DevOps or other workflows to assure compliance to preferred standards.

Engineering and Delivery

· Assist CTO to review defined practices and their implementation and monitoring including:

o DevOps tools

o DevOps workflows

o DevOps data and metrics (efficiency)

· Identify metrics for monitoring of efficiency and responsiveness (by collaboration with TO Architects and Leads).

· Provide direct contribution to development projects in relation to Architecture and/or Practices.

· Provide direct contribution to pre-sales activities in relation to preparation of system and software solutions.

Infrastructure and IT Operations

· Support CTO in management of IT Infrastructure for development and test including resource planning as well as review of IT infrastructure architecture.

Innovation and R&D

· Work with CTO to identify R&D initiatives to explore and implement cutting-edge technologies.

· Work with CTO and CPO to implement R&D projects.

· Experiment and evaluate new ideas/tools/partners.

Technical Team Leadership

· Assist CTO to monitor and summarize application and outcome of practices largely by review of data/metrics captured by the DevOps environment.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

· Collaborate with other TO Architects and Leads in relation to trends for technology and practices.

· Collaborate with the customer leads to align Architecture standards, technologies and practices with customer needs.

· Engage with users, partners, and other stakeholders.

Risk Management and Security

· Work with CTO to identify standards and regulatory requirements to be complied with.

· Incorporate security considerations into architecture and practices.

Competency

· Work with CTO to Define and Manage technical competency roadmap/plan

· Monitor and track own competency status

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in development of solution architectures for secure mission critical IT systems.
• Strong experience in cloud-based (public or private) architectures, technologies and services.
• Extensive experience in application of modern engineering processes and practices (Agile, DevOps) in development of secure mission critical IT systems.
• Deep understanding of emerging technologies related to solutions and engineering (AI, cloud services, DevOps tools).
• Familiar with customer/ government standards and preferences
• Familiar with security threats and vulnerabilities as well as key components of security system blueprint that are used as security mitigation controls
• Experience with multiple aspects of the overall solution including performance, security, latency and other relevant aspects for a solution
• Familiar with concepts, techniques and tools for blueprint design and development
• Familiar with best practices and methodologies in enterprise architecture development
• Familiar with concepts of Enterprise architecture metrics
• Familiar with resource assessment and management including technology, manpower, and financial capabilities
• Strong strategic mindset
• Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts.
• Strong in problem solving
