Job summary

WGT EHR PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Senior Software Engineer / Principal Engineer to design, develop, and maintain industrial automation software. You will work on machine control, hardware integration and Windows-based applications, leading cross-functional teams and owning technical outcomes.

The role requires hands-on work with C++, C#, and WPF, plus experience in motion control and distributed I/O systems. A strong background in Windows API and multithreading is essential.

Responsibilities

• Implement reliable communication between software and hardware components and optimise application performance.
• Apply multithreading, synchronization and memory management techniques to develop robust and efficient applications.
• Collaborate closely with electrical and mechanical engineers to translate system requirements into effective software solutions.
• Perform code reviews, troubleshooting and software optimisation while ensuring high standards of code quality, reliability and maintainability.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer / Principal Engineer to develop and enhance software solutions for industrial automation systems. You will work on machine control, hardware integration and Windows-based applications, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver reliable and high-performance automation solutions.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in industrial automation software development.
• Strong programming experience in C++, C# and WPF.
• Hands‑on experience with motion control cards and distributed I/O systems.
• Strong understanding of Windows API, multithreading, synchronization, memory management and C++ Standard Library/templates.
• Experience with Windows GDI/GDI+ or Borland/Embarcadero C++ Builder VCLwill be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
