Qualifications

Job description

The Health Sciences Authority's Blood Services Group (BSG) is responsible for ensuring a secured, safe and sustainable national blood supply for Singapore. As Singapore faces a projected increase in blood demand due to aging population, BSG is embarking on an ambitious transformation journey to meet future healthcare needs. This initiative includes automating blood supply management (BSM) operations and transforming the workforce to embrace new technologies, ensuring the long-term sustainability of the national blood supply.

What the role is

A unique opportunity to help drive transformative change in the blood supply management of the national blood programme. As the Principal/Senior Manager (Projects), you will collaborate with the BSM technical team in piloting cutting-edge automation solutions and driving workforce transformation within the Blood Services Group (BSG) at the Health Sciences Authority (HSA).

What you will be working on
  • Spearhead the planning, implementation and delivery of an innovative end-to-end blood supply automation pilot project, incorporating robotics, autonomous guided vehicles, artificial intelligence, and RFID technology.
  • Drive the workforce transformation strategy to prepare BSM staff for future technological advances.
  • Support the development and submission of funding proposals and procurement documentation for the automation pilot site setup.
  • Manage project budgets and timelines.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish a state-of-the-art pilot site for automation solutions.
  • Facilitate change management initiatives to ensure smooth transition and adoption of new processes.
  • Support the development and execution of training roadmaps for upskilling the BSM workforce.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders and industrial partners to ensure project success.
What we are looking for
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project management, preferably in healthcare or process automation.
  • Demonstrated track record in managing complex transformation projects.
  • Experience in workforce transformation initiatives would be an advantage.
  • Strong background in agile project management methodology.
  • Proven expertise in budget and timeline management.
  • Experience in change management implementation.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work effectively with technical teams and various stakeholders.
