Job summary

NetEase, Inc. in Singapore is seeking a senior 3D action designer for its expansive games portfolio. You will craft engine-ready character actions across multiple styles, guiding motion principles from concept to in-game implementation, and review assets from outsourcing partners.

Collaborating with the Lead Artist, you will define action style and produce templates and specifications. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to coordinate the full production pipeline and deliver

Job Description

• Proficient in 3D action design and production across multiple styles, with engine-related work experience;
• Participate in specific action design tasks and review action assets submitted by outsourcing partners;
• Responsible for designing in-game character actions, with in-depth analysis, understanding, and production experience regarding character motion principles;
• Collaborate closely with the Lead Artist to define game action style, and produce action design templates and specifications;
• Possess strong communication skills and a cooperative attitude, coordinate throughout the entire production pipeline, and deliver the product's art quality.

Job Requirements

• Solid foundation in animation design; understanding of cinematography and camera techniques for animation; strong grasp of body mechanics, movement rhythm for both humanoid and non-humanoid characters;
• Rich imagination with excellent action design capabilities, able to create smooth and dynamic action performances;
• Strong teamwork awareness and good communication/collaboration skills;
• Familiarity with action games, with deep understanding of impact feel (game feel) in combat actions;
• 8+ years of professional experience in action design for large-scale games.
