Job summary

Surbana Jurong is seeking an experienced engineer to design and plan protective security systems. You will work with consultants, contractors, clients and authorities across all project phases to ensure safety and security goals are met.

Responsibilities include delivering high‑quality designs, drawings and reports on schedule, managing project progress, and coordinating site activities during construction with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as Competent Person (Security) are advantageous.
• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering accredited by the PE Board is preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience may qualify for a senior position.

• Design, analyse and plan protective security engineering systems and solutions.
• Collaborate with consultants, contractors, clients and relevant authorities across all project phases.
• Deliver designs, drawings and reports on time and to high technical standards.
• Manage project progress to ensure objectives on time, cost and quality are met.
• Prepare tender documents and drawings, evaluate proposals, and provide recommendations to clients.
• Oversee and coordinate site activities, conduct regular inspections, and attend project meetings during construction.

• Strong critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-driven, curious, and eager to take on new challenges.
• Professional certifications such as Competent Person (Security) are advantageous.
• A recognized degree in Electrical, Mechanical or a related Engineering discipline accredited by the Professional Engineers Board (advantageous).
• Familiar with engineering design software such as AutoCad or similar software.
• Experience in security systems design or with a specialist contractor/ integrator (a plus).
• Candidates with over 5 years of relevant experience may be considered for senior position.
