About the Role

As a Principal Consultant, you’ll be a prominent member of the team. That’s why we’re looking for a high achiever with great track record who can lead by example and get the best out of others. You’ll work closely with our clients, building positive, constructive relationships with them as well as with our candidates by providing world class service. You can also expect to create new opportunities and win new business by networking, attending client meetings, gathering market information and making business development calls. Alongside all of that you’ll send the strongest CVs across to clients and place the right candidates in the right organisations.

In simple terms, you strive to make daydreaming about a job becomes a reality for your candidates by matching them with the right job role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible in new client acquisition from leads generation to negotiating terms to secure exclusive relationships and retain existing business in order to continuously develop your business area.
  • Handle a range of clients and take responsibility for key relationships, ensuring we deliver on all client expectations and our SLAs
  • Manage the recruitment process from beginning to end, including the development and delivery of short and long-term recruitment campaigns
  • Source, select and match high quality candidates, ensuring only the best are put forward to our clients for interview
  • Provide guidance to other team members on all aspects of recruitment, mentoring less experienced colleagues

Support your manager in identifying team and individual areas for development, deputising for them in their absence

About you

To join us as a Principal Consultant, your skills and experience should include:

  • Minimum 10 years of prior recruitment experience in a recruitment agency environment
  • Stable tenure within previous recruitment roles, with evidence of progression within previous companies (e.g., promotion from Consultant to Senior Consultant or Team Lead) will be viewed favourably
  • Documented history of success within business development, evidenced by consistency in achieving and exceeding individual placement targets as a full-cycle recruitment consultant
  • Proven ability to confidently and effectively communicate, present to, and build rapport with senior-level executives and decision-makers
  • Maintains the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and integrity in all client interactions
  • The passion to be in a sales and client management environment, and the drive to make things happen and hit targets, even under pressure
  • Strong negotiation skills and a highly strategic, commercial/ entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong problem-solving and lateral-thinking skills – you deliver innovative solutions
