Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Woodlands, Singapore is seeking a Principal Process Engineer to lead process sustenance, development, and optimization for high-volume manufacturing. You will drive variability reduction, defectivity control, and DOE-driven improvements across multiple technologies, partnering with internal customers and external suppliers.

The role requires 6+ years in semiconductor processing, strong governance, and cross-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• Min degree in Engineering or equivalent with ~6 years in semiconductor process and manufacturing.
• Experience managing programs in complex manufacturing environments.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management.
• Experience operating in a global, multi-site organization.
• Ability to drive governance, execution, and exec-level communication.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and develop processes to reduce variability and optimize recipes.
• Collaborate with internal customers on unit process development and troubleshooting.
• Improve process robustness using statistical methods and DOE.
• Apply lean manufacturing and six sigma in production.
• Drive continuous improvement for throughput, cost, and yield learning.
• Train shift technicians for 24x7 HVM production.
• Interact with equipment suppliers and QA teams.
