Job description

What the role is:

You design, plan, and execute musculoskeletal health research projects and operationalisation trials as the subject matter expert for sports science and exercise physiology-related matters in the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN).

What you will be working on:

- Design, plan, and execute musculoskeletal health research projects and operationalisation trials
- Analyse data to generate RSN-specific recommendations and interventions
- Represent Navy Medical Service (NMS) in collaborations with internal stakeholders and external counterparts
- Exchange expertise and resources, learn and adopt new developments in musculoskeletal health
- Make sense of trends and data
- Design and conduct targeted research projects and operationalisation trials
- Critically analyse research results to formulate contextualised policy recommendations and interventions for the RSN
- Engage extensively with other units to gather insights and observations from the ground
- Improve and refine sense-making processes
- Tailor interventions to mitigate sources of injuries and hazards

What we are looking for:

- Education in Sports Science, PhD in Sports Science is advantageous
- At least 6 years of relevant working experience
- Prior supervisory experience is advantageous
- Strong research skills
- Proficiency in statistical analysis
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
