A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Principal Mechanical Materials Handling Engineer with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 12 years of experience. The role requires strong technical, planning, communication, presentation, and reporting skills, alongside proficiency in PDMS, E3D, and S3D software. Responsibilities include vendor meetings, material handling layout preparation, and model reviews. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.

Job Description
  • Participation in “Bid Clarification Meetings” for all Mechanical, Electrical & Instrument Packages to expedite vendor with respective operations, maintenance & material handling
  • Vendor GAD review and expedite material handling requirements
  • Liaise with Operations team to meet the operations and maintainability requirements
  • Liaise with all inter disciplines to avoid design changes during “Engineering Design Maturity”
  • Preparation of Material Handling Layouts
  • Preparation of Material Handling Report & Philosophy
  • Preparation of Handling Simulations for All Critical Mechanical Packages & Equipment with PDMS / E3D/S3D
  • Preparation of Data sheets, TBC, TBE & VDR for Material Handling Equipment’s
  • Integration of handling methods in design, establish selection, sizing, quantity, and spec for MH Equipment
  • Preparation of Valve Matrix & Valve Handling Study Report
  • Monorail & Transfer Device Feasibility Study
  • Pad-Eye / Beam Clamp / Lay-down & Hatch location Study
  • Comply and ensure Human Factor Ergonomics Engineering
  • Facilitate internal / external model review’s and responsible to address the maintenance and material handling queries
  • Facilitate HFE Design verification workshop and coordinate multidiscipline design modification during HFE close-out activity
  • Piping / MH Close-out Report Preparation
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 12 years of experience
  • Strong technical, planning, communication, presentation and reporting skills
  • Conversant with PDMS, E3D and S3D softwares
  • Aware of API Standards and Guidelines for Mechanical Handling Equipment
  • Design Exposure to Offshore Platforms/FPSO/FLNG
  • Awareness to Offshore Safety Standards related to Mechanical Handling Equipment
  • Possess Skills to work closely with Piping Designers, Piping, Structural and Layout Teams
