Job summary

Ambition in Singapore is seeking a Senior Enterprise Systems Engineer to join our global technology infrastructure team. The role spans Microsoft 365/cloud and traditional on‑premises infrastructure, with hands‑on work across Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware and Azure services.

The successful candidate will be an SME, handle complex P1/P2 incidents, perform root‑cause analyses and drive permanent remediation, while mentoring engineers and contributing to architecture and roadmap

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Enterprise Systems Engineer to join a global technology infrastructure team. This is a senior hands‑on role covering both Microsoft 365/cloud and traditional on‑premises infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience across M365, Azure/Entra ID, Windows Server, Active Directory and VMware, and be comfortable operating as an L3/L4 escalation point and technical SME.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support enterprise infrastructure across Windows Server, VMware, Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, DFS, File Services and Exchange.
• Manage Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Defender and Conditional Access.
• Manage VMware vSphere, Horizon VDI and Azure Virtual Desktop environments.
• Lead resolution of complex P1/P2 incidents, root‑cause analysis and permanent remediation.
• Automate infrastructure operations using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API and SCCM.
• Support Terraform, Azure DevOps and Infrastructure‑as‑Code initiatives.
• Manage PKI/certificates, security hardening, backup and disaster recovery.
• Act as a technical SME, mentor engineers and contribute to infrastructure architecture and roadmap discussions

Key Skills & Experience

• At least 5 years of enterprise infrastructure experience, preferably within financial services or a regulated environment.
• Strong hands‑on experience across both M365 and on‑premises infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Defender and Conditional Access.
• Strong Windows Server and Active Directory experience.
• Hands‑on VMware vSphere/Horizon experience; Azure Virtual Desktop is advantageous.
• Experience with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API and SCCM.
• Exposure to Terraform, Azure DevOps, PKI, backup and DR.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience working with global/follow‑the‑sun teams is preferred.

Work Schedule & On‑Call

• Monday–Friday, aligned with global/follow‑the‑sun support requirements.
• Working hours may occasionally start as early as 7:00 AM SGT.
• Participation in a 24x7 on‑call rotation.
• Occasional weekend maintenance and infrastructure testing may be required.
