[What the role is]
The Waste Infrastructure Management Department (WIMD) under the Infrastructure Operations & Management Division (WIOMD) oversees the availability of national waste disposal and incineration capacity, manages private waste facilities, waste disposal accounts and revenue collection by the Waste-to-Energy (WTE) plants and Tuas Marine Transfer Station.
You will work in the Private Waste Infrastructure Management Branch (PWIMB) under WIMD which oversees key stakeholders in the waste recycling and treatment industry for waste management facilities through agreements/contracts, including waste treatment facilities to recycle key waste streams or pilot new waste treatment and recycling technologies to validate policy decisions on future waste infrastructure, so as to minimise waste landfilled and contribute towards the vision of a Zero-Waste Nation and a circular economy.
