Position: Principal Engineer/Senior Engineer, Process Development (Cell)

Responsibilities

1. Ensure REC Modules deliver world-class top quality products through well-controlled processes and manufacturing flow, from material supplies to product deliveries.
2. Drive improvement, qualification, and implementation of new processes/products, including changes and/or new product introductions, aligned with overall production performance targets.
3. Support production line issues with appropriate and permanent corrective solutions.
4. Work closely during plant expansion to establish good product quality and specifications.
5. Establish investment proposals and projects to utilize best practices and competencies.
6. Support management directives and projects as needed.
7. Possess strong project management skills, providing key milestones, timelines, and overseeing project completion.
8. Develop new cell processes or optimize existing processes in solar cell manufacturing.
9. Collaborate with external suppliers to introduce new materials or integrate new processes into the current cell processing line.
10. Engage in continuous improvement projects to enhance cell efficiency and reduce costs.
11. Leverage semiconductor or solar cell background as an advantage.
12. Mentor junior cell PD engineers and serve as a role model.
13. Participate in departmental rotations as required by management.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering disciplines (electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, material science, or related).
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of product design environment, DFM, and DFA.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor or PV technologies.
• Experience with prototype PV module design and functionalities for quality and manufacturability is advantageous.
• Knowledge of PV module/panel functionalities is a plus.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage projects effectively.
• Supportive attitude towards additional job functions assigned by superiors.
