We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer to join our dynamic team and lead our NAND memory product engineering efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a passion for innovation in the semiconductor industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Probe Test Flow Development: Design and develop wafer-level probe test flows that meet quality, cost, cycle time, and scaling requirements for next-generation NAND memory products.
New Product Design Verification: Perform pre-silicon design verification using CAD tools and Verilog simulations. Collaborate with designers to debug test mode issues and propose solutions.
Test Coverage Development: Develop new or optimize existing tests to ensure coverage meeting product intrinsic and extrinsic quality requirements.
Yield Improvement: Investigate NAND failures and develop yield improvement solutions through silicon/device characterization, design/circuit analysis, and detailed data analysis.
Cost Reduction: Implement technical innovations to optimize test flows and reduce test time while maintaining quality and yield requirements.
Organization Spokesperson and Expert: Provide expert analysis on projects, technical issues, or innovations to team members, managers, and executives. Serve as the primary contact for your area of expertise.
Technology Events Participation: Actively participate in conferences, workshops, and forums to stay updated with industry trends and developments.
Leadership in Complex Projects: Lead and drive complex multi-disciplinary or area-specific projects critical to the organization.
Promotion of Innovation: Promote innovation and drive changes to maintain the company's competitive edge.
Mentorship and Development: Mentor and develop team members to contribute to their growth and the organization.
Key Requirements:
Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in NAND memory product engineering.
Proven track record of successfully leading projects and delivering high-quality products.
In-depth knowledge of NAND memory technology, design principles, and fabrication processes.
Proficiency in electrical failure analysis lab tools, simulation software, and other engineering tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Skills:
Strong understanding of semiconductor wafer fabrication and manufacturing processes.
Proficient in bench/lab tools for device characterization, electrical failure analysis, and fault isolation.
Deep understanding of semiconductor memory product design, including circuitry, layout, firmware, CMOS devices, cell technology, and device physics.
Skilled in debugging and root cause analysis for memory product design and wafer fabrication issues.
Experienced in design-for-test methodologies, with the ability to develop targeted test algorithms and flows.
Capable of identifying patterns and anomalies in large datasets and applying domain-specific knowledge to support issue resolution.
Good understanding of ML/AI/Automation concepts and hands-on experience with ML/AI/Automation projects.
Strong growth mindset, able to embrace change, challenge the status quo, and continue learning in a fast-paced environment.
Publications or patents in NAND memory technology.
Experience with advanced memory technologies (e.g., 3D NAND, RG NAND, QLC, etc.).
Familiarity with reliability testing and characterization of memory products.
Expertise in statistical analysis and data-driven decision-making.
Prior experience in a technical leadership role within the semiconductor industry.
