Job summary

A leading company in the Marine industry seeks a dedicated professional for the design and development of Ship Management Systems. This role involves system integration, testing, and troubleshooting, requiring a strong foundation in Computer or Electrical Engineering. The ideal candidate will work closely with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve operational issues while maintaining a focus on system performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience with system architecture design and maintenance.
• Knowledge in PLC programming and SCADA software.
• Understanding of industrial protocols like Modbus RTU/TCP.

Job description

Location: Jurong (Island-wide transport provided)

5 days work week

Working Hours: 7.25am-5pm

Industry: Marine

• Involve in system design and development of Ship Management System (SMS).
• Perform system integration for SMS with third party systems.
• Coordinate, manage and support of Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Set to work (STW) and Harbour Acceptance Test (HAT).
• Perform software configuration and technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot and Perform hardware and software maintenance
• Work closely with with customer, subcontractors, and suppliers.to resolve any operational issues

Requirements

• Degree in Computer / Electrical Engineering
• Experiences with system architecture design, system maintenance, or networking
• Experience in Site Testing and commissioning.
• Knowledge in PLC programming and SCADA software.
• Knowledge in control & instrumentation, and control system design.
• Knowledge in computer administration, cybersecurity and networking concepts.
• Knowledge of standard industrial protocols like Modbus RTU/TCP, RS422/485, NMEA, CANbus J1939.
