Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead an electrical engineering team. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in EPC projects, a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, and strong leadership skills. The role involves managing RFQs, reviewing technical proposals, and ensuring compliance with industry standards in a construction environment.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in EPC projects.
• Familiar with Singapore standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide Leadership to the Electrical engineering team.
• Lead and prepare overall concepts and RFQs.
• Review technical proposals to ensure compliance.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Provide Leadership to the Electrical engineering team to comply with project requirements and to meet project schedules.
• Lead and prepare overall concept.
• Lead, prepare, & review Request for Quotations (RFQs) and specifications. Lead EPC tender as the lead for Electrical.
• Review technical proposals from OEMs to ensure compliance to our design requirement.
• Plan & Manage the Electrical Master document List.
• Plan & Manage manpower loading.
• Review cable routing, BOQ, lead engineers and drafters.

Able to understand and manage the following:
Subcontractor's submission of 66kV, 6.6kV & LV power supply system including; Power Generation System, transformer, UPS & DC systems.
Electrical Single Line drawings
Power system Analysis by ETAP
Protection coordination
Cable Size calculation
HV, MV and LV motor starter system
UPS & DC system
Solar generation system
Power Management System
Plan & coordinate Electrical Room layout
Plan & coordinate Cable tray and Busduct

Familiar with the following Equipment and System:
Generators
Circuit breakers
Transformers
VSDs
Busducts
Civil interface for switchboard installation, pull pit and penetration.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of relevant experience as Leader or Senior Electrical Engineer in EPC projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• Leadership & people management skills
• Familiar with industrial standard, e.g, ISO, IEEE, and etc. and Singapore standard, e.g. SS638
• Familiar with statutory Regulation or Code, like Singapore transmission code. etc.
• Able to work in collaboration with various disciplines
• Able to interface seamlessly with engineering, construction, and operations contractors
• Able to work on-site in construction environment
