Job summary

MEINHARDT (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead design consultancy within MEP projects in Singapore. This role demands strong leadership, design excellence and clear stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities include setting design criteria, preparing concepts, and ensuring compliance with local authority requirements. Degree in engineering with 7–15 years' experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• 7–15 years of design consultancy experience in MEP.
• Chartership with professional institutions is an advantage.
• Strong English communication and ability to report to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Set design criteria, check design calculations and drawings.
• Prepare concept and sketch designs, and present/seek approval of Team Leader before progressing to the next stage.
• Formalize standards for specifications, drawings etc. in conjunction with Team Leader.
• Attend design/site meetings.
• Resolve technical problems during project design and/or construction stages.
• Handle correspondence including reports, technical specifications, and other documents.
• Lead projects with a team of engineers/technicians under their charge.
• Fully familiar with coded and local Authority requirements.
