Job description:

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the Electrical engineering team to ensure project requirements are met and schedules adhered to.
• Lead and prepare overall project concepts.
• Prepare and review Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and specifications. Lead EPC tender processes for Electrical.
• Review technical proposals from OEMs to ensure compliance with our design requirements.
• Plan and manage the Electrical Master document list.
• Plan and manage manpower loading.
• Review cable routing, BOQ, and oversee engineers and drafters.

Technical understanding and management:

• Subcontractor submissions for 66kV, 6.6kV & LV power supply systems, including Power Generation Systems, transformers, UPS & DC systems.
• Electrical Single Line Drawings
• Power system analysis using ETAP
• Protection coordination
• Cable size calculations
• HV, MV, and LV motor starter systems
• UPS & DC systems
• Solar generation systems
• Power Management Systems
• Planning and coordinating Electrical Room layouts
• Planning and coordinating Cable tray and Busduct installations

Equipment and System familiarity:

• Generators, circuit breakers, transformers, VSDs, busducts
• Civil interface considerations for switchboard installation, pull pits, and penetrations

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience as a Lead or Senior Electrical Engineer in EPC projects.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Leadership and people management skills.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO, IEEE, and Singapore standards like SS638.
• Knowledge of statutory regulations, e.g., Singapore transmission code.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and interface seamlessly with engineering, construction, and operations teams.
• Willingness to work on-site in a construction environment.
