Purpose
We are looking for a senior client account leader to own and grow WSP Advisory's relationships across the Power & Energy and Earth & Environment sectors in Singapore. You will take ownership of accounts in assisting Head of Advisory, acting as the client's primary point of contact and day-to-day engagement lead, as Head of Advisory originates new accounts. You will direct WSP's Mechanical, Electrical and Civil engineering bench and the Proposals Coordinator to convert opportunities into won work, and represent WSP Advisory credibly with energy regulators, utilities, developers and investors across the region.
Location: Singapore
Reports to: Head of Advisory, Singapore
Responsibilities
- Own and grow a portfolio of Power & Energy and Earth & Environment client accounts, including regulators, GLC utilities, IPPs, developers and investors, as day-to-day relationship lead.
- Identify follow-on and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts, working with WSP's P&E and E&E business units to convert relationships into Advisory mandates.
- Lead proposal development for P&E/E&E opportunities: brief and direct the Mechanical, Electrical and Civil engineers and the Proposals Coordinator to produce decision-grade submissions to deadline.
- Act as engagement lead on live mandates spanning energy transition, transaction advisory and environmental/regulatory work, escalating technical delivery to discipline specialists or business units as needed.
- Track account health, renewal timing and client satisfaction, and report portfolio status to the Head of Advisory.
- Represent WSP Advisory at client meetings, industry events and pitch presentations.
Requirements
- 10 to 15 years of experience in power, energy, utilities or environmental advisory, technical consulting, or client-facing business development within a professional services, engineering or energy firm.
- Demonstrated track record managing significant client accounts or portfolios in power, energy, utilities or environment/ESG in Singapore or the region.
- Strong understanding of the energy transition and transaction lifecycle: generation, grid, regulation, financing and decarbonisation.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, credible with regulators, utility executives and investment principals.
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience shaping and pricing advisory or consulting proposals.
- Excellent written and spoken English; a professional engineering, environmental science, finance or energy qualification is preferred.
- Client-facing or account leadership roles within a professional services or Big Four firm, an energy/environmental consultancy, a utility, an IPP, or an investor/fund's energy or ESG team.
- Experience working with Singapore's energy and environment regulators (EMA, PUB, NEA) or GLCs (SP Group, Sembcorp, Keppel Infrastructure) is highly valued.
- Power & energy (generation, grid, energy transition, nuclear readiness where relevant) and earth & environment (water, environment, decarbonisation, ESG advisory). Deep experience in one sector with credible fluency in the other is acceptable; genuine breadth across both is ideal.
