Principal Communications Officer (Base in Beijing)
    As the Principal Communications Officer at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of strategic communication initiatives to enhance the Bank's reputation, visibility, and brand equity. Collaborating closely with the Manager, Communications, and the Director General, Communications, you will lead the day-to-day coordination, reporting, and management of assignments to create and deliver communication materials to a diverse stakeholder base. Your responsibilities will include managing a team of communications professionals, developing and coordinating effective communication plans aligned with AIIB's objectives, nurturing relationships with various business units, and ensuring high-quality outputs across multiple channels.Your key responsibilities will include:- Managing the development and coordination of strategic communication plans in alignment with AIIB's organizational objectives.- Establishing and nurturing relationships with different business units to identify communication opportunities and risks.- Leading a team of communications professionals, fostering a collaborative culture, and overseeing their development.- Ensuring effective delegation and coordination of tasks to achieve department goals and project deliverables.- Developing implementation and reporting frameworks to optimize the use of budget and resources for communication activities.- Providing strategic communication advisory to internal/external clients and stakeholders.- Measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of communication activities to enhance planning and strategies.- Supporting the operations of the Communications Department by carrying out delegated tasks.To qualify for this role, you should have:- A Master's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field. An additional two years of relevant working experience may be considered in lieu of a Master's degree.- At least 15 years of progressive experience in communications, with a focus on strategic communication, media relations, and public relations.- A proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies and campaigns.- Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.- Familiarity with AIIB's thematic focus areas such as green infrastructure, private capital mobilization, technology-enabled infrastructure, and climate finance.- The ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Join AIIB in its mission to promote sustainable infrastructure investments and contribute to improving social and economic outcomes in Asia and beyond.
